The Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FASS) is headed by a Dean who is the administrative and academic head. The current Dean for the Faculty of Arts and Social Science is HADIJA MATULI M. MURENGA

There are four Departments in the Faculty headed by Chairperson:

• ·Department of Literature, Languages,and Linguistics;
• ·Department of Peace Security and Social Studies
• ·Department of Philosophy, History and Religion.
